About Me

My name is Kristaps but please, call me Kris. I'm software engineer with over 9 years of experience. I was born in Latvia but since a very child I live in Spain. I can speak both English and Spanish.

I have worked in different companies with different work methodologies. Currently I like working in product oriented companies. I have worked with a lot of programming languages and frameworks but I specialize more with Kotlin and Python. I feel confortable working on Backend and Frontend but I'm specializing more on Backend side. I always prioritize work quality and seek to use good practices, clean code, design patterns, solid principles and good testing practices.

In my free time, my two main dedications are sports and software development. I consider myself a mountain addict because I spend a lot of time on the mountains practicing different sports like trail running, backcountry skiing, hiking, alpinism, etc. Mountains for me are everything. I love challenges, continuous improvement and it makes me feel free and active.
